I was expecting 1 gift set to review and they surprised me by sending 2. Which is perfect since I have 2 daughters!

My girls are thrilled with their new bibles! According to my oldest, all good Bibles come with a ribbon, and this one does not disappoint!

The colored pencils are soft and perfect for coloring in the beautifully illustrated Bible pages.

And what I find super interesting, the box that the Bible comes in is so pretty, that my girls insist on storing their Bibles, pencils, and stickers in the box after each use.

The Bible cover is so pretty, I keep trying to talk them into getting rid of the box, but they want to keep their Bible safe, and I totally understand!

It is fun to watch them pull out their Bibles and color the page we’re on while we’re reading each day. It’s great for helping them stay focused and for just being creative with their Bible!

Praying for Girls – Review

I received this book free for purposes of my review, all opinions are my own.

Praying for Girls by Teri Lynne Underwood – Asking God for the Things they Need Most.

If you have daughters and don’t really know how to pray for them, this book is perfect for you. The author has suggestions for praying for your daughters both young and older across 5 different areas of her life.

Each section has several chapters that break down the topic, and each chapter has suggested verses, prayers, and activities for you and your daughter so that you can pray and press into these topics with your daughter and pray some more.

The ideas for engaging with your daughter are simple, practical, and great conversation starters for pressing into some of the more difficult areas of growing up.

For my girls, they’re young, so I think just now beginning to think about their purposes – which is one of the areas covered. There are some great prayers and conversation starters for me to use to begin digging into this a little bit now and then I can add on as they get older.

Praying for Girls was easy to read and is a great book for me to continue to refer to as my girls get older.

My girls are 8 and 5 and they just love this book! The devotions are short and easy for them to understand. In fact, they’ve basically taken the book for themselves and hidden it from me. They’re having so much fun doing this together that they’ve asked me not to read it to them. They want to do it themselves. Each evening the 8yr old will read a devotion (or 2) to the 5yr old before they go to sleep. This is in addition to our usual family devotion each night.

I think it’s so awesome that my girls want to learn more about God together and it’s a great start to them learning how to have their own devotions instead of just family devotions.

We received the girls version of this devotion. And the girls are loving all the VeggieTales princess pictures and such that are throughout the book.
