House Party!

If you’re not familiar with House Party, you should check it out!

I’ve done several parties and I love the great stuff I receive in my party packs. My latest party, which I’m hosting in a couple of weeks – you invite friends over for a party – is for Philadelphia Cooking Creme.

I received 4 coupons for free Cooking Creme, an oven mitt, and a really nice skillet. And for my guests, I have coupons for Cooking Creme, wooden spoons, magnets, and scratch pads.

I can’t wait to try out the Cooking Creme, and my new pan!

Chocolate!

On a blog with chocolate in it’s name, I do have to have a post about chocolate.

Chocolate covered cake balls to be precise.

They’re made by a company called Sweet Jane Lynn. I think it’s two sisters who own it (and operate it).

These are delicious! My husband ordered them for Valentines day for me and they just arrived yesterday, so plan for it to take a while since they have to make every order by hand.

They’re totally worth the wait though!

Free Amazon Baby Item

I just redeemed a coupon for $10 off my purchase from the Amazon.com baby department. The great thing is, I purchased an item that was $10 and using my coupon and my Amazon Mom Prime membership, I got my item for absolutely free!

You can only redeem this code once. It expires 3/31/2011. 5JKP-JSUAGW-LXKYGW

If you’re a mom with young children and you haven’t signed up for an Amazon Mom membership, you need to do this before placing your order. With an Amazon Mom membership you get free Prime benefits for 3 months and you can add up to a year of benefits when you purchase items from the Amazon baby department.

I love my membership! Free 2 day shipping is terrific, plus, as a Mom member you sometimes get extra discounts on baby stuff.

Stuffed Pretzels

I tried out a new pretzel recipe yesterday. I’d never thought of stuffing the pretzels with stuff. You roll out the dough, put the stuffings on it, fold the dough over on top of itself and roll it out again before cutting and forming your pretzels.

It works out really well. The stuffings get mixed into the dough, and the pretzels are delicious!

I did pesto and cream cheese:

White chocolate mint:

And, chocolate coconut:

Quilts

The other day my grandmother gave me a gift for my new baby. A baby quilt. The exciting thing is, this is just like the quilts she made for me and my sister when we were born.

I practically wore mine out, but I still have it! She hand quilts and I’m always amazed by her attention to detail and her patience with all that hand sewing!
