I got to pick the type of box that I received and I requested the Rituals of Relaxation box, because I usually love the relaxation scents! And, with 4 kids, relaxing isn’t something that I get to do often.
I was super excited when my box arrived. It was in this very pretty green box (which I’m saving for wrapping someone’s Christmas present this year and was overall just exciting to open!
I had to open and smell everything as soon as I received it! It smelled so good! And because my bedroom is green, it even matches all my decor!
The hand wash is now on my sink counter and my bathroom smells so good every time I wash my hands. The foaming wash smells amazing! And the body scrub is perfect! It smells great, and the scrub texture is fine and consistent so it’s quite relaxing to use.
And then I stuck the lotion in my purse for when I’m out and about on these nippy fall days and just want a little moisture and a great smelling lotion.
Honestly, I love everything about this set! It’s high quality and smells great. They have many other scents and I love to give personal products as Christmas Gifts, so a few of these are going on my Christmas Shopping list as well!

Sunday is a good day for us to have friends over but with flag football and then wanting to watch football in the afternoon I had to come up with something that could be mostly prepped before and that could be eaten with fingers.
I had all these amazing spices to try, so we settled on chicken wings:
9 chicken wings (separated – so divide the wing looking piece and the drumstick looking piece)
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
5 Tbsp Save the Day Seasonings
1 gallon ziplock bag
The day before, put wings, oil, and 3 Tbsp seasonings in ziplock bag, zip shut and mix or shake until wings are coated. Place in fridge overnight.
Baking: Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, turn oven to 350. Place chicken in single layer on foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip wings and sprinkle with remaining 2 Tbsp seasoning. Bake 15 more minutes.
I made 4 batches and use Jamaican, Spicy Jamaican, Strong Arm, and Alvi’s Incredible. My personal favorite was the Alvi’s Incredible, but I polled all my guests and they all came out pretty even, it was pretty impossible to pick a favorite. They’re all delicious!
Some of my guests were raving about how much they LOVE pre-mixed seasonings and how delicious and flavorful these seasonings are! I’m thinking that gift boxes as Christmas gifts would be perfect for some people this year! (yes, I’m already planning my Christmas shopping). Gift boxes are $30 and have 4 full size seasonings.

The stories are each a few pages long and are easy to read to the kids. The illustrations are colorful and my kids find them to be quite funny with the oddly sized heads, funny looking animals, etc. They are just loving reading this Illustrated Bible together!
There’s a verse at the beginning of each chapter and then the story focuses on how God’s spirit moved through the story. It’s a perspective I haven’t seen before in children’s illustrated Bibles and it’s quite interesting, even to me, to read these stories and focus a bit on how God is moving in the story and how He’s moving the hearts of the people in these stories.
A great book for both me and my children! In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m enjoying this and getting more out of it than they are!

My Problem
I have sensitive ears. My 9 year old has sensitive ears. I mean, really sensitive. There are literally no stud earrings that I can wear, and my 9 year old is the same way. We both love earrings, but finding a pair that works is so hard! I usually wear hoops or dangly because it’s so hard to find a stud earring that doesn’t irritate my ears. Which I must add, is also super inconvenient. I have a 8 month old who loves to grab earrings. I’d rather not be wearing hoops right now. But what choice do I have?
I used to purchase nickel free when I was a kid and they worked great, but when my daughter got her ears pierced a year ago I discovered that these aren’t made anymore – they may be calling them sensitive solutions now, but the metal is definitely different because while my old nickel free earrings still work for me the new sensitive solutions do not. Within hours my ears will be irritated. It’s so frustrating!
I’ve purchased sensitive solutions earrings from just about every store, I’ve even purchased sterling silver from multiple stores. It’s not like I’m not trying. I’ve just run out of options.
So, needless to say, me and my 9yr old were super excited to try out these Studex earrings.
The Results
Studex is designed for ears like mine. So I was so excited to try them. I mean, if they can make an earring that doesn’t irritate my ears or my child’s ears, I’ll be a fan for life. Because I can’t find this anywhere.
They sent me these cute sparkly butterfly tiny tips for my daughter and these Studex Stainless Cubic Zirconia Sensitive Earring Studs for me. So we decided to put them to the ultimate test. We both cleaned our ears with the Studex after piercing lotion (which I should add does not sting like rubbing alcohol does) and then put in our earrings.
We’ve both been wearing our new earrings for a week with absolutely no irritation. No itching, no redness, no irritation. It’s awesome. Studex has lots of super cute earrings. While I don’t see a way to order them directly from their website they sell them on Amazon. Most of the pairs I see are about $15. Super Affordable! My 9 yr old has been begging for birthstone earrings, and I see that Studex has them. I know at least one thing she’s going to be getting for her Birthday. I mean, affordable, birthstone earrings that won’t irritate her ears. It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of in an earring!
I’m super excited – of course I think my 9yr old is more excited – to find an earring that we can both actually wear!

This story follows a family from marriage, to birth, to children, to teenagers, and beyond. It’s a sweet movie about the challenges and heartbreaks of parenting. And the forgiveness and grace that is needed to parent well.

I received a digital copy of this super cute coloring book to review. Unfortunately, you can’t easily print from a digital copy so I got to look at all the pictures but I didn’t get to color any.
The pictures are fun, beautiful, and detailed. And at $7.40 with free shipping with Amazon prime it’s a great price.
Each picture has an accompanying scripture and devotional, perfect for thinking on God’s word while you color. The devotionals are only about a paragraph long so you don’t really have to spend a lot of time reading, and the pictures will each take a little while to color.
My girls thought the coloring book looked awesome so I’m probably going to order it for them, I’m always looking for fun new coloring books for them since they’ve outgrown the cheaper ones you get at the dollar store.
One thing I find that people are surprised about when it comes to Entrepreneurship is that you’re always connected to work. It doesn’t matter how much you try to separate life from work, work is life.
First of all, it’s essential to be connected because there’s no one else to take that late night customer call, and someone needs to answer.
Next, because you’re so connected and on call, all of life literally revolves around work. Luckily, we’re doing what we love, most of the time, so this isn’t a big deal. But that advice to go out to dinner with your spouse and don’t talk about work or kids is totally hopeless when you’re an Entrepreneur. Because, everything connects back to our business.
Want to plan a vacation? What’s the business calendar look like? Is there wi-fi at this destination? How about we pick a destination where we can be on site with a client – work AND play at the same time? Just try planning around work travel and kid’s activities…
Planning a child’s birthday party? What’s the travel schedule? Is anyone out of town for work? Any late night product launches scheduled?
We’re going out of town for a wedding in a few months and hubby is even trying to set up some networking while we’re there. It’s a new city, so why not? It brings back memories of our “ski” trip several years ago where we spent 1/2 day skiing and 3 days networking. I did warn him that we do have to actually be on time for the wedding… We’ve also check on wi-fi, teathering for the drive, and the most efficient travel schedule.
Honestly, I’ve come to accept that as a business owner, you take advantage of opportunities wherever they are. So, no matter where you’re at, or what you’re doing, you’re constantly connected to your company.
Seriously, there’s a lot more to being an Entrepreneur than filling out forms, but I’m pretty sure I spend a very large portion of my time making charts, filling forms, and basically just running a business. There’s no beaches here!

Probing is the third book in the Harbringers series by Bill Myers, Frank Peretti, Angela Hunt, and Alton Gansky.
While this book was still interesting, it’s is definitely my least favorite of the three. It just wasn’t as interesting or as exciting as the first two. I also felt like the 4 stories were a bit disconnected, where in the first two books – Invitation and the Assault – they were much more connected together.
If you’ve already started the series, you’ll want to read this one. It’s fun, entertaining, and just as strange as the first two. I love sci-fi type books so this one is right up my alley. If you haven’t started the series, you’re going to want to read Invitation and Assault first, because Probing won’t make any sense without them.
If you’re looking for a fun, easy to read series. The Harbringer Series is terrific!
