1. He’s an optimistย – I’m more of a pessimist, so he keeps me balanced. Without him I would never try new things or do anything that I’m not 100% certain of success with.
He encouraged me to start my blog and always has positive things to say about it. Even when I’m sure it’s going terrible. He’s been so encouraging and has really helped me keep going and finally find my groove. (well, enough of a groove for now)
Also, I’m prone to stressing about things that could go wrong, he sees all the things that could go right, so between us, he doesn’t jump into projects uninformed and I actually jump into projects.
2. He’s patient – I want something to happen, right now. He’s ok waiting. And really, there’s no harm in waiting. I’m just impatient. I’m glad he’s more laid back about it.
3. He’s flexible – Last minute call, “can you pick up child from preschool?”. I had something come up and couldn’t make it. Even with a busy day at work he picked her up and let her tag along with him until I could get over there to get her.
Dinner isn’t going to be ready for another 30 minutes, no problem.
4. He works hard – He actually likes working. He enjoys his job so when he comes home he’s not all stressed about his work environment. Which is really nice.
Also, he doesn’t mind doing extra work when it’s needed. As long as I don’t ask him to cook dinner, life is good.
Great post! I love how you show appreciation for your husband in the roles he play.
This is really sweet. Has he read it yet? He’s going to love reading how appreciated he is and that you’ve noticed the little things that make him great.
This is such a nice idea! I love this bit: ‘between us, he doesnโt jump into projects uninformed and I actually jump into projects’ – it’s nice when people balance out so constructively ๐
How sweet! I love it, it’s important to acknowledge your spouse!
Such a sweet post about your husband. It’s always nice to read about supportive marriages.
Great post, thank you for sharing! It’s a wonderful feeling to have a supportive husband and father.

This sounds just like me! I am the pessimist and am VERY impatient. I am the heartburn and he is the antacid lol.
My husband is very similar except he loves cooking dinner. It’s just always going to be tacos or burritos. haha
Great post for Father’s Day! Sounds a lot like my hubby. Thanks for sharing – we should all be so lucky to have a great father in our lives.
Nothing like a supportive and positive husband. Blogging takes a lot of motivation and encouragement. I’m sure his support helps with your blogging process! ๐
This is so sweet. It’s great to have a partner to share life with that balances you out, supports and loves you.
It is wonderful having a supportive husband and father, isn’t it. So glad you found a good one.
Great post! It’s always nice to recognize the wonderful qualities of your spouse and then to share them so they know how much they are appreciated.
What a nice idea for Father’s Day. I hadn’t thought of doing a blog post for him. ๐
Reminds me how much I love and miss my father! ๐ How sweet! a nice dedication and reminder of how thankful and grateful you are. ๐ LOVELY post!
cool post – sounds like you balance each other like you say. I think my husband and I are like that too.
thanks for sharing ๐
Very sweet! I hope he reads this <3
I need to do this for my husband. We don’t have kids, but this would still be a good idea.
